My tour guide journey all began with a simple cultural exchange in California that bloomed into a lifelong friendship—and inspired me to share Japan with the world. ​​    From Kyoto’s timeless beauty to Toyama’s hidden treasures, I’ve spent years showing guests the places that feel like home to me. ​ As a traveler myself, I've been mesmerized by the stunning beauty of the nature of Toyama as well as its rich and unique food culture.   However despite Japan being increasingly popular tour destination, it comes as a daunting fact to me that the city has long remained underknown to most of the international tourists.    ​​ Then I came to realize, that's what makes the true essence of Toyama.   This is the Japan you don't see in guidebooks.  It's a great place if you want to 1. avoid the crowds 2. have already visited Tokyo & Kyoto 3. prefer local stories. 4. experience excellent quality of foods. ​    I offer non-touristy, slow-paced private tours to the travelers, especially those who really dig in Japanese local cultures.   The tours were all inspired by my everyday life of Toyama, crafted through the eyes of a local.     Now it’s your turn to discover Toyama, a place worthy of being your main destination, not just a stop along the way!
