Located right in the middle of Toyama City, this is the heart of the locals for cherry blossom viewing. Lined with around 500 cherry trees, there is a path alongside the river. You can literally go through the cherry tunnel without dodging through the crowds. Pleasure boat available. No reservation needed ( you have to wait in line though for 30 min or more when busiest, but worth the wait ) If you would like to experience Yozakura ( sakura lit up against the dark night sky ) , even a brief stop-by would be a great option for your nighttime activity.

From Toyama Station (South Exit), take the tram bound for "Minami-Toyama Station" (approximately 5 minutes) → Get off at "Sakurabashi" tram stop, then walk for approximately 5 minutes.


From Toyama Station (South Exit), take the "Circular Line (Centram)" or the "University Front" bound tram (approximately 3 minutes) → Get off at the "Prefectural Office Front" tram stop, then walk for approximately 5 minutes.


On foot:Approximately 10 minutes on foot from Toyama Station (South Exit)
